Drug Enforcement is a critical part of the many services that Long County Sheriff's Office provides for the citizens of Long County. Drug use whether it is illegal drugs or prescription medication, the abuse of either is harmful not only to the individual, but to thier families, and the community. Many drug abusers feel that they need the drugs either due to depression, peer pressure, or dependancy through regular use. The mission of Long County Sheriff's Office is not just to arrest these individuals, but to help them beat their addictions and help themselves regain thier lives.
Lieutenant Danny Dinkins is currently assigned to drug investigations. Dinkins was employed with Long County Sheriff's Office till 2005. Dinkins continued his Law Enforcement career and worked with Georgia State Patrol and Liberty County Sheriff's Office.
