Welcome to Long County Misdemeanor Probation!

About the Office
On January 1, 2015, Judge Jeffery Arnold, the Long County Board of Commissioners and Sheriff Craig Nobles established a Long County Misdemeanor Probation Office. The Probation Office serves the State Court of Long County and has probation and supervisory jurisdiction of all misdemeanor offenses authorized by statute, including supervision, counseling, and collection services for all sums of money to be paid by a defendant according to the terms of their sentence. 

Long County Probation is registered with the County and Municipal Probation Advisory Council of Georgia. We meet or exceed all qualifications and standards established for Governmental Probation Service providers.

Long County Probation is located in the Long County Courthouse in Ludowici, Ga.

Mission
The mission of the Long County Probation Office is to promote offender reintegration into the community through proactive supervision and deter offender recidivism.

About the Probation Officer

Ms. Kimberly Cobb began her career in Misdemeanor Probation in January 2005. In August 2005, she attended the Northeast Georgia Law Enforcement Academy in Austell, Ga. where she obtained her P.O.S.T. certification as a Probation Officer. She served as a probation officer for Tattnall County until July 2013. She attended Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia, Georgia in pursuit of a Criminal Justice Associates Degree. In January of 2014, Ms. Cobb, in collaboration with Sheriff Craig Nobles and the Long County Board of Commissioners, diligently worked to establish a county-operated probation program. As of January 1, 2015, she began serving Long County as the Misdemeanor Probation Officer/ Supervisor under the direction of Sheriff Craig Nobles.
